Environmental Resolutions, Inc. was retained by the project architect, Becica Associates, to provide the Haddonfield Township Board of Education with site design and engineering, inspection services of the existing storm and sanitary infrastructure, creating construction plans and specifications for bidding purposed and perform construction administration for the site work improvements to four (4) schools under the 2016 Referendum.
The most daunting task of these types of projects is narrowing the final scope of work to meet the goals and objectives of the Client while maintaining the history and context of the neighborhood. Coordinating closely with the client and project architect, ERI was tasked with determining the site constraints, which site improvements took priority, and the proper materials based on each school’s and client’s programming requirements.
Based on this coordination these schools are receiving various building and site improvements to ensure ADA compliance, provide safe access, improve circulation, and to preserve the character of the neighborhood and school. ERI’s scope of improvements varied widely to include:
New barrier free routes,Barrier free drop off zones, Site grading, Loading and unloading safety improvements | Stormwater system replacement and improvementsSanitary and water service replacements and improvements |

ERI was also involved in resurfacing of the high school athletic track, diagnosing the cause of the failure, design solution development, and installation observation. Resurfacing included the existing running track, long jump, and high jump areas using a polyurethane long life granulated surface.
